It's often the case that those interested in the history of the US Army Air Forces have a direct connection to the events of the time through a relative, or family friend who served as part of the force deployed to Europe during the conflict. You can have a unique and lasting tribute to your loved one created by commissioning an original pencil portrait. Take a look at my Portrait Gallery to see some examples of my work.

Standing by the open hangar doors and warmed by the rays of a late Summer sun in 1943, Maj. Eugene Roberts runs over the paperwork with the Crew Chief after repairs have been completed on his P-47C Thunderbolt's Pratt and Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp powerplant. New Website Online
Welcome to the Chris Gray Art Studio

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to my brand new website. You'll see from the artwork here that I specialise in creating detailed drawings using graphite pencils. I have had a fascination with everything related to the United States Army Air Forces for as long as I can remember and my goal in the time ahead is to create an extensive collection of artwork that is dedicated to the people and machines that made their way to the United Kingdom and in some cases, continental Europe during World War II.

In the meantime, please browse around the site and let me know if you have any feedback - thanks for dropping in.
